Chance's Slideshow

Ladies and Gentlemen, Please welcome Chance Harris Heck

At 7:42 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2007...the Lord blessed us again with a beautiful baby boy. Chance came into our world in near record time, nearly eclipsing his older brother Walker's entrance with a time of 3 hours and 42 minutes from water break. Just shy of the Heck family record set by Walker in 2002. Chance does hold the record for smallest of the siblings weighing in at 7 lbs, 6 oz. and 20 1/2" long.

Chance also has the most hair...he and his father have been growing theirs out for a while. He is such a good boy and doesn't yet know what to think of his brothers ...who are so excited he is here. Mom is doing well and recovering and will continue to be the "Queen".

Happy Mother's Day!

We had a great Mother's Day in Fayetteville, AR this year. We started off with a family brealkfast (Scambled eggs, Bacon and Biscuits). Mom opened her card from the boys and was pleasantly suprised; then her gift - a collectable Willow Tree called "Quietly" from the not so "quiet" boys. We called my Mom in NLR who also had a doubly good day being it was her "39th" Birthday as well. We then proceeded to Church with Nanny where Jackson had to go to "Big Church" with us for a while....because he is 5. While at Church we saw some of our friends of ours from Tulsa (Jef and Melanie Falling) who were in town for Mother's Day. We had planned on going to cook hamburgers on the grill after church but one of Nany's friends wanted us to go see a condo that she is thinking of purchasing. So since Jan-Wrenay and I never pass on the opportunity to check out the latest in condo (or home) living, we tagged along. I can hardly believe what $200,000 will NOT buy you these days. Anyway, we traveled home afterwards and took some pics with the boys...
made some quick PB&J sandwiches since we put the cookoff back awhile and went on a "walk" more like a "journey" that Walker has been wanting to go on now for 2 days. This "walk" in Walkers mind was...in the stroller (which he hasn't been in in months). So the 4 of us struck out toward the $500k+ "open house" that Nanny was hosting in Candlewood. An hour later...we arrived. It was great excercise and fun with the boys. On the way back home we browsed thru a huge house that was under construction...it had not one, but two 500sf kids suites in it...can you imagine? More walking......Finally, we arrived back at the house around 4 :30 and fired up the grill. We invited some friends (Alex, Becky and Hazel) over for dinner during our walk. We had a great time over dinner munching on some "juicy" burgers from the 1/2 cow in the freezer. That was about it for the day, the boys were tired so we got them to bed early....although Walker woke up about 10:30 with an ear ache...we nursed that for a while and fell asleep....finally some rest!

We won!...well, sort of....

Our Bible study had a "Fun Night" aka "social" and we all teamed up and played a new board game. Jana-Wrenay and I actually won. Check out some pics and more on our Community Group website.

Boyd and Floyd Harris's 70th Birthday Party

Jammin' with Jed Clampit and Jeff Fox

Well its not every day that you get to sit in on a private concert with one of NW Arkansas' Local Legends and a Rising Star on the local scene in one setting, but it is something totally else to get to jam with them....when your 5 years old. Today, Jackson Paul Heck was able to do just that. It was at the 70th B-day party of Boyd (Papa) and Floyd Harris, held at Greg and Tamara Sparrows house (Cousins), and we had invited Jed Clampit and Jeff "Foxy" Fox to come and provide some pickin' and grinnin'....both are friends of the family. Jackson had jammed once before with Jed and others over at the sparrows before Christmas (2005) and had received an acccordian from Santa. So when I told him that Jed would be playing today, he ran back in the house and grabbed the accordian.

Almost instantly upon entering the Sparrow's house did Jackson make his way to the garage stage. He plopped right down in a chair and started playing right along. It was great and both Jed and Jeff loved it, giving pointers to which keys to play (and where they were located) and eventually Jackson made his way up into Jeff's chair (and on his mic) when he took a break. Soon it was the three of them playing and singing along. When it was over, Jed gave Jackson "aka Dash" an autographed CD cover too.

We may just have a star on our hands so look for the upcoming album, soon to be downloadable from iTunes.

Jackson's Dream #042606

The Skulls
Last night I had a dream and it was about a skull. Walker was putting our toys in the river and he was thinking they were going to the neighbors house...but they were not, they were going to the skull. And they were going through the skull and men were inside the skull. The water was flowing thru the skull but the toys weren't flowing through the skull. The men were getting the toys into their secret place. They were trapping the toys. The water was going to the other skull...there were two skulls. The other men were putting water in buckets and they were storing them so they could drink it after the water was gone. Me and Mom had to go get the toys and take them back home.
